Promoted as feature-length version of the doc TV series, it following the migration paths of several "protagonist" heroes. It boasted superb cinematography and colorful journey throughout the live of, probably, ones of the most endangered species in the world. See the world totally anew, the way you'd never see it thru your very own eyes in a lifetime. Of course unless you joined the west front quietly as one of the courageous soldier, which wont be happened to the most of us.

Patrick Stewart (the captain of Startrek's USS Enterprise, the professor in the X-Men trilogy) delivered the narration extremely well, can hardly imagine what the movie would be like without the guidance of his steady and (sometimes) passionate voice. Be noted that its Japanese dubbed version was narrated by the great Ken Watanabe (performed on Geisha, the Last Samurai, etc).

Yet, I think better to watch its TV version. Moreover, Gore's inconvenient truth got better (presentation) materials than this movie. Consider "Earth" instead if you planned to spend the quality time with the whole family. Soon, you're gonna discovering a thousand ways to say "ooohhhh", and "aaahhhh", with such amazement and/or, disbelief. That's why, overall, the message it intended to be spoken has been delivered quite well. Beside, who's not gonna be intrigued to see a movie so extensive, it got a 5 years to be made.

Still, watching this movie is a MUST. Especially to find out whether you really care ... OR not. I dare you! *grin

oops..!! Udah lama banget nggak nonton Oprah. Jadi nggak tahu deh, sama apa enggak.

Yang jelas belakangan ini emang banyak banget film2 berjudul sama (i.e. Earth) yang beredar. Tapi mengingat film yg gue maksudkan ini produksi BBC (baca: Inggris), diduga keras Oprah nggak akan mau ngebahasnya. Biasa kan, orang amerika cenderung pake kacamata kuda kalo ngeliat dunia, hehe..

mmm.. maksud gue sih lebih kepada, biasanya kan kita nonton acara2 animal2 ato wilderness gini di TV, dengan gratis pula.

Tapi program2 tsb biasanya terkendala masalah pembatasan waktu, lingkup pembahasan, maupun jangkauan pemirsa. Nah, dibuatlah film ini dengan maksud sebagai anti thesis dari ke-3 hal tsb.

kemaren nemu dvd-nya, earth produksi bbc.
sempet mau beli karena liat pembahasannya di oprah tapi gue agak lupa yg di oprah itu buatan bbc atau bukan. yg jelas ditayanginnya di discovery channel.

I know that the universe is already blessing the brave crews that weathered the heat, the dust, the storms, the freezing cold—and waited sometimes six months to get a single shot.

Now, all through the day and especially when meditating, I think of the wide shot of our living globe that's shown in every episode. I think of myself and all my human colleagues and the rest of the animal, plant, ocean, desert, and arctic communities where the circle of life goes on and on. What I know for sure: It is a marvel and a miracle to be here on planet Earth.

mnrt gue sih, masih bagusan yang bikinan Al Gore buat tiket dapetin hadiah Nobel itu lho. Tapi yaa.. film ini juga layak tonton kok; walau gue ngasih 1 (satu) bintang lebih rendah buat film ini daripada yang Al Gore punya. Anyway, met nonton! :-)

Sengaja, biar tampilannya beda aja. Soalnya poster resmi yang beredar cuman satu; yang gambar beruang lagi ngejebur sepintas kaya bayi manusia gitu deh. Bosen aja liat nya..

Ngomong2, bukan cuma elo lho, yang bisa spy on someone. I got my sources too about you, and they told me enormous fascinating facts! Hahhahaha...

Background analysis itu penting untuk lebih memahami kenapa begini kenapa begitu, terutama untuk studi dan analisis atas perilaku seseorang. Jadi lebih paham aja dan (mudah2an) lebih mengerti menghadapi 'dinamika' elo, kekeke..

Ketika melihat iklannya pertama kali di Klasika Kompas (gambar beruang nyebur ke air) yang kepikiran ini pasti lanjutan film “BJ and The Bear” dulu… maklumlah sekarang remake lagi naik daun… kebayang sudah setua apa si BJ dan Bear dalam film terbarunya…. Juga ada Rin Tin Tin… ini pasti cucunya Rin Tin Tin dulu ngkali ya?
