yang lama tak bisa percayakan cinta,
hingga dia di sini, memberi cinta ku harapan

Dia, seperti apa yang selalu kunantikan, aku impikan
Dia, melihatku apa ada nya; seakan ku sempurna ...

Teringat acara serupa 2 bulan lalu; barangkali ada yg mau ikutan? Oil & Gas Industry Night 29/5/08 di Dragon Fly (see flyers attached). Z? A? B? Si? Sa? Ch? M? F? *grin Atau para pentolan kelas enemba ITB Tercela lainnya barangkali? M? J? Itung2 persiapan buat menghabiskan Jumat malam di Bandung ntar. Heuhehe..

Despite all that, I considered to pass the moment. Need to catch some sleep, esp to prepare myself to attend a meeting with BPMIGAS on Friday. Pfyuuhh...

Guess it's gonna be work hard, play harder, study hardest, no?
*grin

Note:

"Tercela" is the name of a secret brotherhood inside the ITB's EnEmba class of 2007. The membership is by invitation only, and voluntarily based. Yet to become one, you got to secure recommendations from some senior members.

Neither the brotherhood chairman nor the activist is me. Instead, I was the one who founded it. Ahahahha..

Mid-Test "Organization Behavior" berupa analisis jatuh-bangun nya CEO the Cocacola Company yang seharusnya berjatah 90 menit langsung gue terabas nggak nyampe sejam; bikin teman2 sekelas terperangah.

Padahal gue nyetop mobilnya nggak sambil mengayun2kan senter lho.. suer..!! Benar2 pembunuhan karakter tuhh! Tapi nggak apa2 deh; yang penting bisa duduk tenang naik mobil baru nya sang sopir. Tahu beres, pokoknya musti nyampe; secara gue gaptek daerah Selatan. Hahaha..

Thus, what the heck are you doing, guys? Jaka Sembung bawa golok..hehe.

Too bad.

Apa tampang gue segitu keliatannya pengen nabok mereka gitu ya? *grin Ah, enggak kok. Enggak salah! Hahaha..

Kejadian unik lain adalah saat kami memesan Hot Shot cheese burger buat dimakan sambil nunggu acara dimulai. Kami agak ragu dengan kecepatan pemesanan, jangan2 keburu mulai nih. Tapi ternyata beneran cepat, lho! Teganya!

Jadi jangan salahkan kami bila selepas acara kami lantas memutar mobil ke arah Djakarta theater, dan memamah beberapa potong Burger King yang besar tapi nggak begitu enak. Dijamin bukan lapar mata, tapi emang lapar beneran! Hehehe..

Ohyawh, ruangannya bagus sekali.

for everyone

The Fed (Federal Reserve, Bank Sentral AS).
  2. Bernanke (Ben Shalom Bernanke) adalah Gubernur The Fed, pengganti Alan Greenspan.

My fave line:
"...Bernanke! Bernanke!
Can you save the whole market?"

Mantabbbbsss...!! Huhahhaha.. Emang rada meragukan nih, sosok Gubernur BI yg satu ini. Oops! I mean, head of the Fed, dheng! Hihi..

 Is this the real price?
Is this just fantasy?
Financial landslide
No escape from reality

Open your eyes
And look at your buys and see.
I'm now a poor boy (poor boy)
High-yielding casualty
Because I bought it high, watched it blow
Rating high, value low
Any way the Fed goes
Doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama - just killed my fund
Quoted CDO's instead
Pulled the trigger, now it's dead
Mama - I had just begun
These CDO's have blown it all away
Mama - oooh-hoo-ooo
I still wanna buy
I sometimes wish I'd never left Goldman at all.

I see a little silhouette of a Fed
Bernanke! Bernanke! Can you save the whole market?
Monolines and munis - very very frightening me!
Super senior, super senior
Super senior CDO - magnifico

I'm long of subprime, nobody loves me
He's long of subprime CDO fantasy
Spare the margin call you monstrous PB!
Easy come easy go, will you let me go?
Peloton! No - we will not let you go - let him go
Peloton! We will not let you go

Peloton! We will not let you go - let me go
Will not let you go
let me go (never) Never let you go - let me go Never let me go - ooo
No, no, no, no, No, NO, NO ! -
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
S&P had the devil put aside

For me, for me, for me

So you think you can fund me and spit in my eye?
And then margin call me and leave me to die Oh PB - can't do this to me
Just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here

Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
No price really matters
No liquidity
Nothing really matters - no price really matters to me
Any way the Fed goes.....

Oleh-oleh dari Java Jazz 2008. Lagu-lagu nya enak bangettsss.. Band baru yg lagi ngetop, anak2 SMA katanya.

Nothing Last Forever mostly recommended. Pandangan Pertama jadi jingle resmi iklan nya Honda Jazz.

NLF udah gue pasang jadi nada tunggu. Norak ya?*grin Bodo ah! Lagu nya enak kok!:p Malah pas hari Jumat gue langsung beli CD original nya di outlet Disc Tarra di Java Jazz lho! Gini2 juga gue kan bukan pembajak..huehehe..

Selama ini gue cari kemana-kemana kagak dapat-dapat. Padahal udah ngubek-ngubek internet sampe jebot. Jumat kemarin baru ngeh kalo mereka tuh, ternyata orang Indonesia. Pantesan, lha wong gue search nya kan pake bhs inggris, "RUN", heuhhehe

Hey guys! It was an international jazz festival anyway, if you care to remember!

Tapi tentunya bila kita sudah bicara tentang selera, apalagi kemauan pasar yang sanggup mendikte dengan otoritas penuh, lantas apa mau dikata? *grin

All and all, salute to them for making their own songs, and they’re sounded nice, too. Better chance next time.

ReviewReviewReviewReviewNine Muses, and a Didi MudigdoFeb 2, '08 8:31 PM
for everyone
Category:Other

This is the kind of the music club that has real class. And I mean “the real one”. Oh, boy!

Located in one of the city's most prominent business districts, the club was initially quite hard to be found, especially for those of you whose not familiar with Jl Wijaya; that including me, thank you. Although it was actually located almost next to CCF Wijaya and Sindang Reret Sundanese restaurant (both are not familiar spots for me either, hehe).

Its front door was simple, yet artistic and very elegant; pointing out arrogantly to anyone whose might not properly attired for the place. Some friends warned me that they experienced being rejected by the club. But I guess that was due to they didn’t comply with its suggested outfit nor didn’t have any reservation. Whilst we should be calm and confident, since another friend has done it for us – right under the name of the night’s performer, I guess. The great Didi Mudigdo, Mr, an internationally well-known jazz pianist and vocalist, perhaps the only reason for us to come.

On entering Nine Muses, one begun to appreciate its labyrinth-like structure. Though we got some difficulties to adjust ourselves to the tone, we gotta admit that after a short walk down a narrow candle-lit corridor, we never quite imagine that such place could be existed in such a business district. Very impressed, we did, as walked inside further. Especially when we noticed the librarian style artistically arranged on one corner. With real Penguin books!, we exclaimed in such disbelief.

The atmosphere and the waitress are somewhat intimidating, and even made my friend, who supposed to be more adapted to this kind of environment better than me, nervous and unsure about herself. We had our dinner previously at Pacific Place; therefore we planned to order some coffee. But the waitress acted like she didn’t hear us, and prepared dinner sets, then offered us a long line of decadence meals. I mean, the price, of course. *grin

The food range was quite fantastic, with European style and mainly dominated by French cuisine, although on a certain section my eyes managed to spot a wagyu steak offered. Weird. But then we strengthen our minds, and politely returned the menus whilst smiled to the, bravo!, turned out to be an understanding waitress.*grin One positive point secured. By the way, their welcoming french bread bites served with vinegar mixed was simply awesome!

Of course we immediately compared Nine Muses with our previous shared experience at Black Cat, another jazz dedicated club in town. We realized that there was a distinctive atmosphere between the two; whereas we suspected that Nine Muses not just targeting to an older audiences but also the wealthier and more powerful ones. We did see some familiar public faces there.

Yet, completely in line with one old adagium, that you got what you paid, then the same premise applied here. Lots of us are exhausted by the place around Jakarta who dares to call themselves as music bars, but with some ear-splitting noise they call music. Plus with a menu that could only afford some kind of overpriced french fries, fried squid, and tonnages of beer; along with a very dark ambience and over loud sounds. If you felt exactly like that, then you have to try this club.

The interesting part of the club is not just the sensual and romantic open areas in front of the stage, but also the outdoor area filled with table and chairs and lots of greeneries. Pretty interesting and of course is distinctively different, eh? We thrilled to try the exotic spot, but soon forget the idea considering the hot Jakartan air that night and especially since we came to see Didi on stage.

Didi, born in Australia, did look like ones who spent their life aboard. His confidence was real and he smiles sincerely. He wasn’t cocky nor behaved like God like most of our performers. He just played the piano beautifully and did sing with a skillfully mastered voice. I don’t really understand music, especially the real jazz melody; but my friend, who’s got better experience than me (she was once a Jazz singer herself and played in a various bands), was as amazed as I was. And we thank God for the chance given tonite (hahaha, nggak sampe segitunya sih).

Further info about the great Didi could be found here : Pianis/Vokalis Didi Mudigdo duet dg Pemusik Jazz Jakarta. Whilst when you interested on Nine Muses, feel free to check them out at The Nine Muses club, www.ninemusesclub.com, Jl. Wijaya I/25, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, Ph. +6221 722 1188, Fax +6221 7279 0849

From this moment, a great consciousness came to my reality; that it is okay to spend some resources e.g. time and especially money to sit on places like these, and treat your senses right. For every once and a while. And thus, considering the price of spots like those. Furthermore, believe me, it would be more than just okay to secure a ticket or two to attend such festivals; be it music or movies, like the upcoming Java Jazz Festival 2008 on March. Boy, Didi and Nine Muses did successfully make me eagerly anticipating the moment the festival come.

Having heard the name of, arguably, one of the most interesting place to go with the few closest friends or merely to indulge oneself in the real Jazzy mood, inside its cozy interior and their friendly ambience, for quite some time; still can hardly allocate my free time enough to taste it more than listening to some boasting friends.

Few chances came and vanished, along with some promising souls once set a date or two to attract me to stop by with, some glancing away for every once and a while every time passing by its gate over and over again; months and years has passed by before finally managed to knocking on the Heaven’s doors. Thanks to the hard effort courtesy of a friend, I even stay tuned to the course, and could stand for the torture instead of going home earlier and enjoyed the book of Saladin and Lion Heart in progress. Or from maintaining discipline and reaching out to my paper once again*

Less could be offered by its misplaced building style and decoration, not to mention its location on some distance from the Plaza Senayan, forced us to walk to it. No one seems to know its exact location though, thus we basically tried our best guess, hehe. Arrived shortly and walked our way to the 2nd floor, our quite low-level spirit could only be boosted up by anticipating the insider experience of the place. Up to this, a 4-point score could easily be saved.

And boy, oh we did have some fun there! For no cover charge and quite reasonable beverages price list, too bad we already full thus missed the chance to try the cuisine offered, one could not help but wonder how such place could defend itself against its own overhead, and most of all, its competing hipper neighbors. Sure, the fact that it is one of its kinds should be brought up too. Or perhaps because it has some dedicated patronages, along with some hard-core audiences; as ones could be easily spotted on that niter?

The lead singer blanketed us all with her strong, beautiful, adorable voices. Though her stage performance raised suspicion on how much glasses of wine she had previously taken, hehe. The whole band played quite well with some measured jamming session for each individual. The dimmed lighting seems well to create the needed atmosphere. In short, it was near perfect.

But hey, wait up! What was the noise? Ouch, some spoiled brats who happily and, annoyingly, loudly talked, chatted, and laughed to each other – here and there. They did not bother about that bunch of irritated starring guests or the melodious sounds of the performing band. We did not think that they even aware of where they were; that people come to that place to have some listening experience and not to compete with each other in unnecessary loudness.

Do you really come here to listen to the music and shut up, or just to show us that you can really afford the place as a location to share your daily gossip to each other? It was so amazing that neither the ushers nor those attractive guest relations lady officers do a thing to appropriately handle the situation. Whether they afraid, or just being permissive, for this un-appropriate disturbance, the place should lose another star. Therefore, its final score was only 3 out of 5.

Black Cat is a very interesting place that I might want to see again, but perhaps not quite that soon. Sure, it is still one of the best alternatives available in town.

That one of the most waited email for the last few days, haha.. It was automatically sent by the committee’s server after they managed to verify my credit card eligibility and, of course, credibility.

The good thing with this kind of online booking is, you shall never be bothered with all the mess of keeping your personal copy of payment. Moreover, with tonnages of paper works, proof readings and documents writing that keep popping up here and there throughout the maze, you bet I got a billion chances to lose it unintended. Or to forget where the last time was I saw it. Alternatively, that payment proofs could be at least dirty and, worse, unreadable.

Yeah, finally I made up my mind to see this kind of festival. It will be held on March 7,8, and 9, 2008, and as before, would be performed on the Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Jakarta.

Quite pricey, if you judge it from a certain perspective. Yet it also has a very good value for money, if somehow you could see it from a different angle. It all depends on your decision (and money, of course.. *grin). Nevertheless, I guess chances like these are hard to be missed. I still have to figure out though of why I finally bought the tickets, especially after that quite disappointing JakJazz 2007 or for being sleepless and almost missed my Final Test due to that hectic JiFFest 2007 schedule.

Well, thanks for those incidents, I don’t think that I’ll take a passport ticket for this one. Or at least, the decision shall wait until they published their detailed schedule. I can’t believe that they already started the tickets selling without it!. Damn. But after some considerations, I guess I may use the advantages of early birds ticket payment offered. For at least I could fulfill my promises.

Those promises: will take my dearly cousin Mariska to the show, as we discussed many times previously (she jumped out in joy and disbelieve at the moment she got this confirmation, hehe). My sister would also be invited to join us, to enable her to share the experience. But my brother and Dad already rejected the offer, so I still got a spare ticket.

Anyone?
*smirk!

Hanya tahu bahwa “pokoknya”…titik, tanpa peduli apapun no matter what. Hanya ada beberapa yang menjadi pengecualian (and I salute you!)

Demikian beberapa pernah membela diri.

Seolah pemirsa dipaksa menjadi bodoh untuk memilih sang pemenang Lomba Nyanyi semata karena faktor kasihan, atau, makin kesini, karena faktor primordialisme alias kesamaan daerah/suku/agama; dan bukan karena hal yang semestinya dinilai pada sebuah Lomba Nyanyi (correct me if I’m wrong):

  • suara yang bagus,
  • performa panggung nan memukau, dan
  • kemampuan teknis olah vokal yang mumpuni.
  • syukur ditunjang penampilan menawan

Kategorisasi yang kejam? Mungkin.

And for that courageous action, I salute her.

for everyone

Akhirnya! Jadi juga gue nonton (baca: beli tiket) JakJazz 2007. Sempat ragu dan maju mundur lamaaa banget, sebelum akhirnya memutuskan buat beli, ahhaha..

Gara2 semalam mampir ke Aksara Kemang dalam rangka "program-eksplorasi-seantero-Kemang-dengan-jalan-kaki" dengan guide seorang teman yang tinggal di sekitar situ (hey, thanks yaa!). Seru banget buat orang kaya gue yang hingga setahun lalu BAHKAN masih nggak tahu Kemang itu di sebelah mana nya Jakarta sih. Dulu malah gue pikir udah deket2 Bintaro, hahaha.. Bayangkan apa reaksi dia, hahaha..

Gue beli tiket Passport; alias tiket terusan buat nonton seluruh acara 3 hari termasuk 3x special show. Makanya kemarin dipaksain beli; walaupun akibatnya gue musti keliling2 dulu buat nyari ATM. Padahal gue buta total daerah Kemang, untung kagak nyasar, or worst; diculik tante2! :p

Sayangnya teman gue itu, yang fanatikus Jazz dan udah berkali2 ngajakin gue gerilya ke berbagai Jazz Lounge atau bahkan pernah menawarkan tiket gratis "Cross Over Jazz" (which was regretly refused thanks to a meeting with those damn demanding government officers, hehe) ternyata sampe detik terakhir masih ragu bakal ikut nonton atau nggak. .

Lagian tuh panitia JakJazz dodol juga. Halah, hari gini; siapa juga sih yang masih hobi bawa segepok duit kecuali (a) konglomerat, (b) mereka yang permohonan kartu kreditnya belum disetujui, hehe..

Huah, ngantuk euyyy.. Terharu..hiks), sempat disuruh pergi beberapa kali gara2 tempatnya mau tutup, pusing dengerin House Music India yang ada di Casa, ngetawain cewek modis yang bawa laptop cuma buat maen solitaire (yeah, we know that your pocket can afford that lovely iMac, dear, but does your brain, too?:p), saling  ngomporin buat beli buku fave masing2 di QB dan Aksara (saya terjebaakk..menyebalkan!), dapet banyak banget voucher gratisan yang lantas langsung dipake,

etc.etc.. Tapi, Bandung, gitu lhoo.. The place  I love the most where I grown up and found my adulthood! *grin

MusicBasia - Half a MinuteSep 16, '07 3:25 AM
for everyone

According to the book, it happened because she lost all the romance even long before the judgement day. Thus when the verdict fired (ta’elaaa…!:p), maybe she felt sorry for us, perhaps also a little bit guilty; but the biggest thought that would ever came up to her mind was: “..relieved..”

I have noticed this on her, even right away at the devastating moment. Do you still remember that when those mighty words had been spoken, I instantly asked her to do self-evaluation and made personal review of what had been through, of the relationship? For my better or worse? I shall honour her decision, though. But one cant help when a final last cry wondered through my dizzy mind:

Is it the perfect one or JUST the perfect timing?
…………..

What is there to say
when all the love has slipped away in half a minute.
There is always something we can blame,
but in the end it's just the same -
Suddenly, you find yourself alone.

What is there to say
when every dream just fades away in half a minute.
Every explanation we can find
will never change it, we are through -
Suddenly, you find yourself alone.

* Parts of the article above was taken from a chat with my dearly friend, Cecille. The one who lend me the book, and dedicated her empathy. Appreciated her much.

Half A Minute (Live) London Warsaw New York Basia

Iseng sambil nungguin hujan, macet, dan bos2 Jepang dari JAPEX yang lagi jadi sparring partner gue for these damn*d two hectic days (woiii.. pulang woii.. Lo pada nggak pengen nonton Cross Over Jazz Festival di Senci, apa?** heheh); akhirnya gue tergoda juga buat ngisi juga kuis ini – thanks to a few friends’s urging (hey, made this one for you!)

Yet some of them, especially the newest ones and some, well..errr.. not that new ones, hihi, are the songs that I just downloaded or grabbed recently:p Ohyawh btw, most of my fave songs, dunno know why, are movie soundtracks; and mostly are taken from my fave movies.

Here's how it works, read it carefully:

1. Open your library (iTunes, Win amp, Media Player, iPod, etc)

2. Put it on shuffle

3. Press play

4. For every question, type the song that's playing

5. When you go to a new question, press the next button

6. Don't lie and try to pretend you’re cool... just type it in, dude!

Opening Credits:

100 Years – Five For Fighting

lagu yang indah, syahdu, tenang, mengalir, and above all .. dg lirik yang mendebarkan

Waking Up:

Virtual Insanity – Jamiroquai.

Hmm.. lagu yg keren, walo rada aneh. Tapi kayanya oke jg buat jd alarm pagi2, hehe

First Day At School:

Bring Me to Live – Evanescence, ost Daredevil

Masa?

Falling In Love:

Accidentally in Love – Counting Crows, ost Shrek II.

Haiyyaaa..kenapa lagu ini yg kepilih ya? Nggak gitu tune in juga sih. Satu2nya alasan lagu ini ada di mp3 player gue adalah karena lagu ini didedikasikan oleh one of my dearest friend, Cecille, who lately getting to know me more than everybody else. Well, frankly speaking, including to be my shoulder to cry on when “it” happened a year ago, huehehe.. Dia bela2in ngedownload lho! Katanya lagu ini theme song nya gue banget; yang kagak pernah ngejar2 cewek, tapi cuma kepentok. To meet someone special, and to lover her; just like that – to be accidentally in love. Ugh, jadi kangen sama si jelek yg satu itu..hehe.

** Hey, this quiz is getting more interesting! :p

"The Relationship":

Ain’t No Sunshine when She’s Gone – Lighthouse Family, ost Notting Hill

Whoaaa.. one of my most fave song, taken from the movie I love a lot! Never got bored to see the movie again and again and again; and will love it always! Adegan film nya pas lagu ini tuh keren banget! Baik secara sinematografi maupun komposisi. Brilliant!

“..This house’s the same no more when she goes away.. “ *grin

Fight Song:

Ketika Kau Menyapa - Marcell

Tapi, nggak cocok buat berantem kali yee?

Breaking Up:

Say You Love Me – Simply Red

Ah, nggak banget nih. Salah nih play list nya, hueehhe.. Dasar kuis dodol!

Prom:

Tell Me You Love Me – Vina Morales

Ohhhh...really-really love this song..*daydreaming.. Susah banget cari download-an nya, untung akhirnya malah bisa dapat cd original nya. Masalahnya, nggak pernah ikutan prom, tuhh.. Ngapain juga! :p

Life:

Sugar Sweet – the Iccicles, ost Motorola ads on TV (2007)

Lagu yg enak; riang dan ringan. Sayang kalah pamor dg lagu2 iklannya Sony Ericsson

Mental Breakdown:

Sexy Back – Justin Timberlake feat Timbaland

Lagu yang keren dan mantabb.. Paling asyik buat sambil nyetir mobil sendirian malam2.

Driving:

Getting Back Together:

Two Hearts – Phil Collins

Umm..rada2 cocok juga kali yha? But above all, once is over, why do we have to look back? If it wasn’t working, then it won’t be working. No need to waste your time. Let the bygone, bygone

Wedding:

Under the Bridge – Red Hot Chilli Pepers

Birth of Child:

Dream a Little Dream of Me - Chicago

Lagian kapan gue punya anak? Lha wong ibu nya anak2 aja belum ada.. :p

Final Battle:

Indonesia Raya – WR Supratman

Hahaha.. the final battle, they say!:p Having the National Anthem played on your play list, imagine that!

Death Scene:

Extreme Ways – Moby, ost the Bourne Identity series

Huh!

Funeral Song:

Tersiksa Lagi – Ulla (versi remix lagunya Utha Likumahuwa)

Haaa.. lagu fave gue zaman SMP! Tersiksa lagi dlm arti apa nih? Banyak dosa? :p

End credits :

You Are – NiteFlyte

I LOVE this song much! And the intro is soo great!

“..You are the magic in my life

You are just in time to make it right

You are everything, I dream about..”

Note:

** Yeah, I really asked that President of JAPEX and his Finance Mgr whether they’d like to see that cross over jazz performance or not. Because I planned to see it, so could you please go home, sirs? Hhehe..

for everyone

*grin

Nice song to be heard, liriknya pas banget dg sikon (saat itu), and those distance memories that sometimes feel so close everytime I heard this song again. Hhhh.. The girl whose her image only (image, not picture) had already enough to make SZ unreasonably crying in jealousy..:p

Sometimes it smilingly crossed my mind to reminiscingly remember the way she awkardly sang it, or played it on her violin, through the telephone over thousands miles away.. *smiling

Dedicated for Nadira Alicia Nefertiti Sudiro - NANS, where ever you are..
Wishing you enough, and always.

........
I will fly into your arms
And be with you to the end of time
Why are you so far away
You know it’s very hard for me
to get my self close to you
